David Poxon was born in the Industrial heartland of England, but now makes his home in the rural countryside of Shropshire. U.K.
He is an elected member of the prestigious R.I. (The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours) and serves on the R.I. Council He is also a signature member of N.W.S (The National watercolour society of America).
Over the years he has won many awards and accolades for the precision and craftsmanship of his paintings.
He is the author of three books the latest is the critically acclaimed ‘Watercolour Heart & Soul’. David has contributed many articles to the Art Magazine press and has appeared in numerous art books.David Poxon is a much sought after Master painter and also serves as a Juror in some of the worlds most prestigious watercolour shows. He exhibits in fine art galleries world wide.
David’s 190 page book ‘Watercolour Heart & Soul’ was published to world wide critical acclaim and has sold more than 30000 copies world wide.
In 2018 David organised and curated the first International Watercolour Masters exhibition ever staged in the UK. The show was held at Weston Park Shropshire and broke box office attendance records for a watercolour exhibition outside of London. In 2022 David will organise and host the second and much expanded IWM which will feature 42 of the world’s elite watercolour Masters. It will be held at Lilleshall Hall Shropshire England, May 16 to May 29. Once again David’s media partners for the event are the SAA.
